What Stories Nest is for

Stories Nest gives families free read-aloud stories and puppet-show scripts for kids aged 2 to 8. Use it for reading together at home, at bedtime, in a classroom, at a library story hour: anywhere grown-ups read to kids. By using the site you agree to these terms.

The stories and scripts

The shelf's stories and scripts belong to Stories Nest. You're welcome to read them, print them, and perform them for your family, your class, or any audience you're not charging: that's the whole point. Please don't republish the catalog elsewhere or sell it.

Stories and shows you make with the writing tools are yours to keep for personal use: read them, print them, perform them, save them to your nest.

House rules for the writing tools

Make a story and Build a puppet show are for making children's stories. Monthly and daily limits keep them fair, and an automated safety check reviews everything they write; a request the check can't approve is declined. Don't try to steer the tools toward anything that doesn't belong at bedtime, and don't automate or scrape the site.

Stories Nest Pro

Reading is free with no ads, and stays that way. Stories Nest Pro is an optional subscription that adds Listen on every story and script, making stories and shows whenever you like (free families get a small taste each month), and painted faces for your own puppets. It costs $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year, shown in your local currency by the store, and needs a free account so it follows you to every device, the website included.

Pro is bought inside the iPhone and Android apps: payment goes through the App Store or Google Play, it renews automatically until you cancel, and you cancel there, at least 24 hours before the period ends; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. The website has no checkout and never takes card details. Refunds follow the store's policy; write to us if something went wrong and we will help.

Prices can change. If they do for a plan you already have, we tell you first and the new price applies from your next renewal. Nothing you've saved is ever taken away when Pro ends.

The unavoidable paragraph

Stories Nest is provided as is, without warranties. The custom stories are written by an AI with care and a safety check, but read anything new yourself first if you have a sensitive listener. We may update, pause, or retire features, and we may close accounts that abuse the service. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
